Katachi - Graphics & Plugins has released The first service update for DPIT Effex, taking the version number to 0.99.97, which is now ready for download in the member area for all customers. It includes a bunch of bug fixes, some new features (thanks to all users for their input) and furthermore support for Cinema 4D R11.5 and the new RenderInstances on all supported plattforms.

Furthermore DPIT Plants has also been updated to work with Cinema 4D 11.5 and to support the new Render Instances feature, allowing to render millions of DPIT Trees directly with DPIT Transplant, Dubber and the Tree object.

This Service update is of course free of charge for all customers of DPIT Plants, Effex and Plants & Effex bundle.

For all non DPIT customers and especially hobbyist, I also have news. Imperative is the new DPIT Non-Commercial versions of the available modules.

Non-Commercial licenses are feature-wise the same as the commercial licenses but have a highly reduced price. They only allow non-commercial work and do not include fee charged upgrades (however, you can update to the commercial version once you feel you need it. See the license information in the DPIT Shop). So for learning DPIT products, using it as a hobbyist or simply for educational use this license is perfectly suited.

The pricing of DPIT Effex has also been slightly reduced for the commercial version which also affects the update prices to Effex.

- Fixed the preset loading bug. The wrong preset was selected after loading a different one.

- Cell count is now limited to minimum of 5 cells per axis. If you change the solver dimensions and this results in any of the grid cells counts being less than five the other axis are adapted accordingly.

- Fixed a crash when loading a scene file with the FSS turned off

- Fixed fluid particles crash bug

- Animation does now automatically stop at the end of the timeline when "Cache while running" is activated

- Fixed an interface issue in the FSS Generators Fluid Particles tab

- Fixed some interface issues in the mesh tab of a FSS Generator

- Distance To Emitter event added to the Event Handler list

- Distance To Voxel event added to the Event Handler list

- Fluid Particles & Vorticity Partiscles emission now support Event Handlers

- Fixed a crash when the FSS has been a child of a mesh that in turn has been used in that FSS as emitter

- Fixed transport bug for Color and Flow Map channel when Transport Quality = Low

- MultiProcessor Support for advection of Fluid Particles & Vorticity Particles added

- Fixed the Generator removal crash. C4D crashed sometimes when a generator was deleted from the scene

- Fixed the bug when the rendering starts at a later frame than 0

- Removed the "tent" option from the vorticity particles kernel list and changed the custom kernel evaluation to scale the same as the gaussain kernel. Before you needed to use a much higher vortex length for the gaussain kernel (i.e. 2.0 for gaussain and only 0.002 for the custom kernel), now both work with the same vortex length scale. Furthermore the vorticity particles were distributed unnaturally when the custom kernel was used which does not happen anymore. Old scenes using vorticity particles must be adapted accordingly.

- Fixed several crashes with Effex Xpresso Nodes

- Some other internal minor changes and fixes



- Gas Renderer: Improved the speed of the preview scene slightly and FluidParticles are now correctly displayed in the material preview

- Gas Renderer: Fire GI intensity setting added

- Gas Renderer: Fixed a crash when dropping a FSS Generator into the FSS Object field, restricted the dropping now to the FSS
